Black Milk pics, and bite pics!

Bobo's Mama

proud corn mommy!
I fed Gladys tonight, but she decided she preferred me instead of a mouse. I reached into her cage to get her out and she latched on to my middle finger. I got the mouse to distract her and she let go. She's my 2005 Black Milksnake, and she's about 510g now. Not the longest Black Milk around, but she's still beautiful. So here's a few pics of her and the carnage. Please excuse her gruesome method of eating mice. The worst part, is that was a male mouse!! :eek1: :grin01:

Mine got me last night when I was running him through a damp towel to get a little tiny piece of retained shed off... We came to the agreement that I won't grab him by the head with a wet towel and he won't bite me...

I've had to help Gladys with sheds before. She doesn't seem to care, but get her around some mouse smells and watch out! This is the 2nd time she's done this.

They've got such awesome feeding responses, don't they? I've got a male right now, and he just goes crazy for mice. Especially when you compare him to my lazy corn who rarely constricts - he just moseys on over and starts eating.
I had to laugh when I saw where she was biting the mouse. That was just funny!
She's beautiful, though. I'm excited for mine to turn solid black, too. :)

Why do kings think they HAVE to sample your fingers? I told mine THREE times this evening that I am NOT a mouse. Did she listen? Of course not! At least she's still a harmless baby, but we go through this almost every week. Maybe I should stop holding the corns first?
