Blank, a near yearling snow.

Hello all. Blank, our snow corn, shed for the first time with us yesterday, and so it seemed like a good time to take some shots. The (mild) flash shows how she looks when in daylight, though of course obscures her normal pink eyes.

I'm guessing, from how her tail tapers, that she probably is an actual female. Also from the looks of it, she seems to be developing more yellow along her neck, and is starting to get tinges of yellow around the saddles, so it'll be interesting to see what she looks like in a few months.

Here she is, held by my other half Tatile -

I'm the owner of the big hands in the pictures :p

Blank, at this time, is 24 grams and just over 16" - her shed was also almost complete, we were both quite impressed with it.

What strikes me from your post is that she is measuring 16" at a year, and in other posts people report that their yearlings are near 30". Our new guy, at 8 weeks or so, is measuring about 14". Is there really that much variation?

Blink and Blot (amel and anery) are all roughly the same as Blank the snow in length and weight, and are all about 8 to 10 months. They were fed a pinky a week for a while. One of our slightly newer corns, an anery stripe called Epoch, is 10 weeks old and also similar weight and length, though s/he was fed a pinky up to 2 pinkies every 5 days.

I'm guessing the rate of food plays a large part.

We've had them for a couple of feeds now and feed a fuzzy (slit) every five days, so with luck they'll start to fill out.

I was trying to get size information for everyone's ages to see if I could make a rough percentile chart, but I didn't get enough information. The thread still exists if anyone wants to add to it. It's in misc. corn snake discussions :)

Anyway, she's really cute. I have a snow who I think is about 10 months old. He's 60 or so grams. I'm not sure how long. He's also starting to get some yellow, which kind of bums me out. i love the butter's, but I wish he would stay pink. :(
