blood after hook up

I'm fairly new at breeding, this is my third year, but I have not seen any blood after a hook up until tonight. can someone explain whats going one? It was a fair amount of blood. is it serious? both male and female seem to be doing fine and I checked but can't even tell which snake it came from. thanks for the responses in advance.

It most likely came from the female and it is normal and not a concern. It doesn't always happen but is not unusual.

This is nothing to worry about. I have only experienced it once in eight seasons of breeding Corn Snakes.

Thanks for replying. Anyway, I'm rally excited about this pairing. Male Miami het lavender X female hypo lavender!
