Looking good, don't worry about the quality,we get the picture. :)

Wondering myself if there are any news on the possible connection between the rosy bloods and the kastanie (chestnut) gene...

I have not heard a thing, I am not on the inside track, they certainly appear to be the same critter don't they..

Off the path a bit, does this look only show up in Bloods? Or has it transformed other morphs as well??

I like the head out of focus shot because it gives me the impression she is moving toward the camera as you are shooting. Cute picture and a nice looking snake!

A better head shot..

Hey Tim, nice little Rosy Bloodred you have there !!

In my opinion, I think the Rosy Bloodred will be found to be the Kastine trait..........well in Bloodred form. Test breedings are being done this year to determine if the Kastanie, Copper & (SMR) Rosy Bloods are all the same trait.

As far as your "off the path" question above............not sure if you saw this thread, but there are alot of pics. involving the Kastanie and other color/pattern traits. There is a noticable difference when the Kastanie trait is expressed with another. Some are mild and some are more noticable.

It looks like Walter, I might have to make a careful selection for a future mate for this girl.. I'll definantly be very, very, selective for the initial breeding..

Yeah, I know what ya mean Tim.
I thought about it for a while and this was the decision I made for my girl this year............ Amber Bloodred X Rosy Bloodred.

Hey Walter! I would rob a bank to get my hands on a pair of Rosy Bloods X dilute granite babies! Just a suggestion for next year, if Rob hasn't already beaten you to the pairing.

Susan, I hear ya.
Unfortunatly, I only have the one Dilute Anery Bloodred and one Rosy Bloodred and both are females.
Of course, it still remains to be varified if mine is actually a Dilute Pewter.

I'm hoping to prove/disprove that this year, but may have to wait another year. I bred her to my Sunkissed Charcoal............but unfortunatly again I got alot of infertiles this year and this clutch was no exception.

Guess it was my turn for MURPHY to visit :shrugs:
