Cornflake1
The Crazy Snake Lady! :-)
:wavey:I had a friend ask me whether they could sex their baby corn by seeing 2 blood spots by the vent on the skin after it has shed if it's male and 1 spot if it's female. I've kept corns for over 5 years, read lots of books, spoke to lots of people and have never heard of that method before.......
Anyways, I thought that the thought of blood after shedding couldn't possibly be a good thing. So when one of my corns next shed I had a look and sure enough. in the skin by the vent, there were 2 red spots!!! He was sexed as a male before i got him!
So really i'm wondering;
1) if anybody has ever used this method before?
2) is it very accurate?
3) Why does it happen?
I shall definatly be checking all the others as they have all been sexed so i'm very interested to see the results! :wavey:
