Bloody Substrate

I know i know its a dumb question but better safe than sorry right?

So my little corn constricted the thawed small mouse a bit way too hard, ok really hard and bit him from the sides;guts and blood everywhere. (I usually use a feeding tank but decided to try a spare "feeding plate" instead this time). Anyway, so after moving to the plate and swallowing the mouse, he went back to the substrate, "sniffed" it and moved on. Ofcourse i'll get rid of the bark that has blood on it but my question is....

Would a corn snake be dumb enough to eat bark if it has mouse blood on it?:shrugs:

Thanks for the answers guys.

I'd agree with Nanci, kingsnakes seem to go crazy when it's feeding time! Corns don't get quite as into it.
