Wow good girl. Congrats! It has got to be harder to unwind one of them from around the eggs compared to a corn.

Thanks Guys. I am VERY pleased with my Girl :)
BPs are much more agressive & protective of their eggs. Last year she was pretty mellow, but she has already hissed at me today...LOL

Congratulations! How long will she protect those eggs for? How long before you HAVE to put them in the incubator? Do they ever just stay with them until they hatch (at least in captivity)? Just curious, because I know absolutely NOTHING about breeding BPs :).

Ot`s 4:00 PM and I have taken the eggs away and Cappy is in her post-lay sauna. In other words, she is soaking while I clean up her tub. Females will protect the eggs as long as you leave them with her. She is a good girl. All I had to do was use a hook to touch her head & then just pick her up & unwrap her. No biting, no struggling. I am cleaning her tub because it practically breaks my heart that they look for their eggs as soon as you put them back in the tub. If you remove the smell of the eggs, they forget quicker.
Yes, some people do Maternal incubation. But, the female won`t eat until the eggs hatch and I would rather get her eating again. Soon as I get Cappuccino settled back into her clean tub, I will post pics of the eggs and my poor skinny girl.

There are only 5. I thought I saw another bulge in her, but when palpated, I don`t feel anything...
