Brand differences

I normally use T-Rex's Forest Bed coconut fiber for my guys, but I have occasionally used ZooMed's Eco Earth. When I soak the bricks, I use about 3 1/2 liters of hot water. With Forest Bed, it immediately starts to noticably soak up the water and expanding and it is fully expanded and ready to be used within 30 minutes, no draining or squeezing necessary. On the other hand, with Eco Earth, it takes a considerabley longer amount of time just to start expanding, and even after about 24-48 hours, it is still a clumpy and sludge-like mess.

Has anyone else has noticed any other differences between the two brands, or actually any of the coconut fiber brands for that matter?
