So today i went out and bought some stuff. I got a 20gal long critter crawler cage. I got a UTH, woodchip bedding, a lamp. water dish, a hide, i have it all set up. I will take some pictures tomorrow and add. I also bought a Russian Glass Lizard today (legless lizard) and i have it on a shelf above were the corns will go i get on sunday from midwest reptile show. it looks good. cant wait to get pics up.

DO you have something to regulate your UTH? Without something to control the temps, they can get way too hot. Also what type of lamp did you get? Corns don't need UV, and with the UTH, a heat lamp is unnecessary. If you just got a regular fluorescent lamp to see the snake with, that's fine.

Do you have a thermometer? If not, don't get the dials or the stick-ons. Get a digital one with a probe (the indoor/outdoor kind). Stick the probe on the glass where the heat pad is, and stick the actual unit on the cool side on top of the substrate. Optimal temperatures for the cool side are low to mid seventies, hot side low to mid eighties. Also, if you can, get one that has a humidity checker as well, and as long as it's between 40 and 50 percent, you're good.

You'll do well to get more than one hide. At least two...one for the warm side, and one for the cool.

Good luck, let us know how things turn out.
Remember to leave him alone for awhile before handling, so he can get settled...!
