Hi everyone, I've been lurking the forums for a few days now but I just brought home my first scaled baby yesterday! He's a 2-3 year old Sunglow- they said he was about 60% grown and will mature at around 5 feet.

I'm incredibly new to this and I'll probably be full of questions but for now everything seems to be going smoothly!

This is my boy, Ashakahe (Asha for short).

I'm still learning how to hold a snake and take photos at the same time, haha. His colors are way brighter in person. I want to try getting a few in the sunlight soon!

Hello! I'm new to snakes, too, and I can tell you that this forum has saved me from a million and one paranoid heart attacks. I think I actually saw you in the corn snake tag on tumblr, haha. Congrats on your new snake!~

Welcome, these forums have been great help with my new baby! There's alot of helpful people on here, so you picked the right place! :)

Hi and welcome to the forum!!
What a beautiful boy you have. I think he is the perfect age for a new keeper because he is still young but out of that delicate baby stage. Perfect choice!!
The only thing is, I don't think he is a sunglow. He is a gorgeous bright amel though and a beautiful example. Sunglows have no white dorsally.
