Hello all,

At what age do the male and females have to be for breeding?

Males can breed a little younger, my '04 ghost stripe male did good as a two year old.
I bent the rule of 3's for my ghost motley stripe female as well, she's only an '04 but at 370 grams and 3 1/2 feet I felt it would be safe to breed her. I didn't brumate her and she just grew like a weed.
Young females that are smaller and not up to weight can have egg binding problems if bred, but young males do not have to go through being gravid and can breed as 2 year olds, though their fertility rate may go down after servicing 1 or 2 females. Older males seem to handle muliple breedings with better results.
