Breeding behaviour

My male corn snake just got out of blue last night and I noticed he was all over his tank and kind of puffing...like blowing in and out a lot....he just went to the vet and he said that everything is perfect with him and no concerns. Is this normal breeding behaviour?

On the same note, my little girl (not even a year old yet) was roaming her tank last night too, and was really interested in him. But she is on the other side of the room, with like 10 feet between them...is this normal?

Unless your female is quite large for her age, it's unlikely that she's ready to breed. That said, corn snakes are notorious for not reading the book. Their behavior might be attributed to some other environmental condition that they can detect (change in barometric pressure, scent of prey or predator in the air, etc) and which you may be totally unaware of (we humans really have let our senses go downhill). Your male most likely knows it's breeding season and would be doing this behavior whether you had a female in the room or not. And she might simply be hungry. You have them separate (applaud, applaud!), so your male will just have to "take a cold shower" and you get to have a little more entertainment than usual watching them!

Well I don't ever plan on breeding them to each other but ya she is way too small to breed.

I did feed them last night and everyone was sure hungry. I am glad to know that he is not sick or something crazy, and that he just needs to take a cold shower.
