Corn snakes rule!
I have started to breed with only one of my corn snakes so far. Since I could not get Kasper and Rose to hook up yet this year I decided to try Kasper and Zoe. I'm hoping I'll get some variety with these two like I did last year with Rose and Kasper.
I actually put them together before the end of last year and already have 10 healthy corn snake eggs incubating right now! She laid 13 eggs for me but three were no good. They should hatch in the first week or so of March soooo I have my fingers crossed and just wanted to let everyone know I'll have squirmy little snake babies soon!
I'll be adding photos of them hatching on here and also add photos of them afterwards ofcourse plus put them up on my website.
I still have 3 babies from Rose and Kasper last years clutch and am trying to find homes for them.
My next attempt will be in about a month to breed Kasper and Rose, and also Kasper and my oldest girl Diamond.
With Zoe already done for this year unless she double clutches for me I will not be breeding her anymore this year. She lost a lot of weight even though I fed her well before breeding her to Kasper. She lost 110 grams. But she's back at eating on a regular schedule and seems otherwise healthy.
I've been through a lot since the last time I was logged on here. I broke up with my boyfriend and moved back in with my mom, sister-her husband and their three kids. I had to move all my snakes including Zoe while she was still gravid, and the babies that I had left. I lost one baby from it not eating on it's own ever since it hatched last July and it died the night I was moving them to my mom's house. But the little ghost corn that I was having such a hard time getting to eat started to eat for me in November and now he's eating for me like a champ, and growing big now. He's got a little temper to him as well so he's a fiesty little guy, usually when he's in the shedding stage otherwise he is mostly very calm. I also have an Amel, which has calmed down very nicely for me and a normal baby left that is a little jumpy but not fiesty and the normal is very long and slender, but eats pretty well for me. The amel is very prettily marked and eats very well for me. I wish I could keep them all but I cannot. Well, just wanted to update everyone on here about what is going on with me and my snakes. Hope everyone had a good Christmas and New Year so far.
