Breeding Issue. Please help.

Hi again. I come back and forth when I need help and advice.

Ive got a breeding pair and with their previous owners(which were very neglectful) had laid a slutch that never hatched.

JUST ABOUT 2 weeks back, my female popped out an unfertile egg which was the size of a milk dud. NOW she's in my little incubation box with my moss, moistened. she shed 2 days back but now still appears VERY pale, is it likely she'll shed again? Shes plumping up and hasnt had an appetite.

I put a little extra heat on cuz it can get chilly at night in the cage in my room.

once the eggs are layed will I be ok just using my spray bottle to moisten the box and let them lay in there? or would I be wise to take them out and put them in a seperate incubator?

Thanks again in advance, ALWAYS appreciate the help Ive gotten here.

I would take the eggs out when they are laid and get them properly set up for incubation. This doesn't have to be really fancy, but you don't want the mother shoving the eggs around or pushing them out of the incubation medium.

As for the shedding question, I dunno. :shrugs:

Good luck.

you should absolutly put youre eggs separated in a tank for two reasons.
One, they need higher temperature 28 c and two, they should´nt be moved around by the other snakes.

About your female beeing pale, how old is she?

if you are not prepared to care for the eggs and the hatchlings i would suggest throwing the eggs in the trash. if they have just been laid there will be no "pain" felt by any animals. toss them out and save yourself a headache.
