Hi all.

What age or size should a female be to breed safely?
What age or size does a male need to be to breed with her?

My corn female is one year old in July. I seem to think 2years old is the right age, obviously i need clarification on this and this is the best place to ask.
 
Yesterday under same forum topic "breeding age" Jen/Shed my Skin wrote
"Males can breed a little younger, my '04 ghost stripe male did good as a two year old.
I bent the rule of 3's for my ghost motley stripe female as well, she's only an '04 but at 370 grams and 3 1/2 feet I felt it would be safe to breed her. I didn't brumate her and she just grew like a weed.
Young females that are smaller and not up to weight can have egg binding problems if bred, but young males do not have to go through being gravid and can breed as 2 year olds, though their fertility rate may go down after servicing 1 or 2 females. Older males seem to handle muliple breedings with better results."

Thanks alot for that. What months should breeding be attempted? i'm guessing march-may. so i'd be better waiting till 2008?
 
No, thats the problem with text, you can't express the way you want to say something, if you knew me you'd know i'm not rude at all, very much the opposite! lol. I'll need to watch how i'm putting things down i guess.

anyway...when are breeding months in the year?
