I've been known to leave the male with the female for just an hour or so (if the male gets right to business and is done while I'm still working in the snake room) to several days and the pair mate a few times. Ideally, I would put them together to mate and repeat the mating every other or every 3 days for 2 and preferably 3 matings total.
