Brumation

Hiya guys, i have a question for you all, i have been doing some reserch online and found out about this sort of hibination called brumation and some of the websits were saying that corns go into brumation around december and come out between 60 and 90 days later. but then a lot of these sites were making references to breeders rather than just domestic pets.
i was just wondering if i should be following the guidelines of cooling the viv and not feeding etc or do i just carry on as normal, if someone could help that would be great.
many thanks.

I've never brumated any of my Corns and they're fine with that.

People with lots of Corns enjoy it as an opportunity for a break, and it's said to improve fertility if you want to breed them.

However, they're just fine without. It's a bit late in the season to be thinking about it now anyway, so in your place I wouldn't worry.

No just keep doing as you are doing. They do not have to have brumation especially for pets. Some do find that it help with fertility. I have yet to have a problem with fertility and I don't brumate. So really it becomes a personal choice and not a requirement.

thank you for the fast responses, but i thought that it might be the case but i sort of stumbled upon it but then couldnt find any more informative info on it other than when it happens and not weather i should be following it or not. thank you again.
