hi, i've been looking at buying frozen mice in bulk. how long can you keep mice in the freezer for? will they be good for ever if you don't thaw them out?
If they are vacuum sealed, they can last a long time. Pinkies and fuzzies tend to get nasty pretty fast, they last longer once they have hair. But bet on them lasting about a year, if the freezer is good and they are vacuum sealed.
If you have any snakey friends or know someone nearby with a collection, you could try splitting an order. I have two and I buy bulk because even if I end up throwing half of them away, I am still saving some money.
Dude,
In my experience, Non-Vac sealed mice may last 1-2 months at the most. It is so worth having a smal vac sealer or at least the ziplock that you can vac- seal with.
