Hi
I have a corn since sat. On sunday ( yesterday) I put a exoterra heat wave under the tank. I think it may be too hot. Feels very warm to the touch. I found my snake in the cool spot in the morning. So today I turned it on and off every half an hour or so and touch for temp. The temp in the tank is 72F and the thermometer is in the middle of the tank. I will get a thermostat tomorrow.
The snake goes all ofer the tank.

Well, the snake's belly looks kind of pink from the middle to the tail and white from the head to the middle of his body. I can not remember if that was his colouring before or if he was compleatly white. I think he was white with black checkers.
Is it possible that he is burned?/:confused:

I would definitely suggest getting a thermostat to control the UTH..until you get one I would say to just leave it off for now..A snake will be fine in 70 degree weather...As for the possible burn...Try and get some pics and post some pictures of it if you can.

I would agree to leave it off for now. But, seeing as you just fed him, he's going to need a warmer temp fairly soon in order to digest his first feed with you (good work!). I would try and get something to measure the heat soon, or at least put something fairly thick over the warm area, so he can't get too close to the heat source. Let us know please.
