Burrowing :|

Samm

I have a thingy, Do you?
Hi,
My snake is none stop burrowing under all the substrate. Is this because he is rubibng him self to help ease the shedding of skin? If he is due?

Thanks,
Samm

Burrowing is a perfectly natural behaviour for snakes. They seem to love making tunnels and travelling around under the substrate. You don't need to worry about him doing that... unless you can't find him in a hide one day and are afraid he escaped. Check the substrate thoroughly, likely he's hiding in there. ;)

Thanks, Had tht fright earlier.. He wasn't anywere.. all of his body was under substrate.. then i saw his head popup.. nosey bugger :p

Thanks.

Hey Samm, can you post pics of your viv. Your snake might be hiding if you are missing some essential items.

Yeah Tula... It looks like he's missing a log, another hide, background, etc. That is why I wanted to see some pics.

hes only had him 2 days :p
you should have seen my viv for the first week... i had bare essentials lol

hes got the neccessaries for now...

Ya.. Very bare atm..

Waster Bowl
Hide
And tube

Within thee next week im getting

Log
Backing
Plant/s

That wil spice things up :=)

A backing is definetly a good idea. From what I've learned, it's a good idea to get a backing that goes round 3 sides instead of just the back. Corns don't like having open sides. :shrugs:
