Buster's Big Adventure

OK, so ........

Buster, my son's corn, is settling in nicely and loves to be out of his viv exploring. So Euan and his mum thought they would take some photos of Buster on one of Euan's Dragon Castles. Now I admit it would have looked cool, however I was out at the time, and I got a VERY calm call from my wife to say that being on the outside of the Dragon Castle was not good enough, Buster decided he wanted to be on the inside of it! Having a calm call from my wife under these circumstances was not a good sign. :)

So I shot home, and got there to find my son holding the Dragon Castle in tears saying that Buster was inside, and some part of the castle mechanism has started moving.

Not a good start!

Anyway very calmly I said "no worries buddy, he's probably having a great time inside, lets see if we can help him out."

After about 30 minutes of delicate engineering - and trying to work out how the hell they managed to put it all together, we found him. He was perfectly fine, not a scratch and seemed to be half asleep. In fact he ate a nice meal of 2 fuzzies the day after!

The four photos are:
1/. Before engineering works.
2/. Buster discovered.
3/. "Whats all the fuss?"
4/. Looking for more adventure!

Oh and the castle went back together again, and is working fine!

cheers

Ian

Aww! Poor Euan, but how sweet he was so concerned for his baby! Glad Buster came out of it with no scrapes too. :)

Isn't it fun trying to figure out how those darn kid toys are put together? lol

Yes, he is very concerned about Buster, technically he's Buster 2 (http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/showthread.php?p=777205), and is completely devoted to him. In fact has started reading any books about corns he can get his hands on.

Getting the thing apart was easy, even very carefully with a corn inside, however putting it back together took a little longer - especially when there are springs under tension involved! Ping!

Hehe. Gotta love those springs! I tried fixing an overwound toy car for my older son once. About the third time the spring sprang and cut my finger, I gave up and took it to my sister! lol She can fix anything I can't. Even preformed "surgery" on my younger son's singing CareBear when it stopped singing. She fixed it. I can't thank her enough for that one. (Lots and lots of sarcasm there!) But he is happy, so it's all good. :)

I can fix most things, buts its really strange how the noisy ones in our house are always beyond repair (especially if my good lady asks me to repair them), and sometimes come off worse after I have 'fixed' them! lol.
