I going to be getting a new cage because soon my snake is about to out grow its 10 gallon tank. Is a 30x12x12 big enough for an adult?

That sounds like the dimensions of a 20 gallon long, which is the minimum size for an adult. He should be just fine in it!
 
yeah thats a 40gal, like alicat said 20gal is the minimum for an adult but i'm sure you would happy in a 40gal as well
 
I'm sorry to drag on in this post but I have some more questions. Right now my snake is a little over 2 feet by a few inches. ATM would these tank I'm thinking of getting to big or should I wait till it gets a little bigger?
 
No you can go ahead and move him. Just make sure that you provide him lots of areas to hide and he will be fine.
 
I would always go with the bigger the better haha. Either one is fine :)
And just as cmalchow says, as long as he has plenty of places to hide he'll do just fine in either.
 
yeah my corn is only like a little over a foot long and i've got him a 40gal. i've had people tell me that is too big for a snake his size but from what i see he likes the extra space when he's not sleeping lol. don;t worry i've got plenty of hides for him 1 large cave hide in the center, 1 full log (his favorite), and about 5 toilet paper tubes lol.
 
right now I my snake in a 10 gal tank with 2 hides. I want to get another tank so the snake can get more comfortable.
