Call for Halloween Costume Ideas

Okay, so I have a Halloween party to go to at my boss/advisor's house on Saturday. If there's anything I'm worse at than picking names for snakes, it's picking something to be for Halloween. That's why I'm enlisting your help!

Feel free to share any ideas you have. I'm interested in sort of out-the-box type of ideas, but not too outlandish. Keep in mind that I do only have this week to put this together and I am 22 years old...that's just to prevent anyone who doesn't look at my age to suggest I go as Thomas the Tank Engine or something like that ;)

Look forward to hearing your ideas and thanks!

Jeff Corwin?
Would be easy and someone needs to counter the zillion Steve Irwins we'll see this year :)

Well, personally, I'm being a bellydancer - but you're probably not into that idea. :grin01:

What about being a protein? Just wear a white shirt and kinda glue a bunch of strips of fabric (with little styrofoam balls as histones) to it in a funky pattern. It'd appeal to the bio crowd there... and it's not as lame as being DNA. :D

I guess I should have stated, that although most of the party-goers will be biologists, I'm not really looking for something biology related...unless it's too good to pass up. Since we all do biology everyday, a Halloween party is a chance to get away from it and have fun :)

Well, actually...

The people at this party would really get a kick out of that, but I wouldn't feel comfortable :)

Shameless bump because I know there've got to be some more ideas floating around out there :)

A funny and easy one here that someone in the biology crowd does every year is two guys who look sort of like you get together and go on their bicycles as mormons. It has to be a cooperative costume, though, or it really isn't as funny.

White hair, white beard, and a long flowing robe....and you could go as an "Intelligent Designer".

That should bump up your graduate studies cred. ;)

I could send you my Superstar costume...

As if I need a costume for that...:grin01:

That would be pretty funny. Don't think I could round up anybody else on short notice, though.

That one just might take the cake. I'll have to give that one some consideration. Thanks!
