I was going to place an order for frozen mice through Rodent-Pro,

Shipping cost was a little bit expensive, and for the quantity that I wanted to purchase, I think the box was still only around 30% full.

Anyone want to meet up with me and place an order together to soften the shipping blow?

If you are interested, please PM me, and we will figure something out.
Thanks,
Rolf :D

I think there are usually frozen rodents for sale at the Tampa show. They are probably more expensive than Rodent Pro, but there is no shipping cost. Maybe if you buy a lot, they would give you a better deal at the show. Just something to consider if you don't find anyone to go in with you on shipping.

Joe and I are in Largo as well. I know that right now I am still pretty stocked on mice and was only going to pick up some extra at the Tampa show - but I will point this out to Joe to see if he needs to get any and wants to go in on shipping. Normally - he and I order at the same time to split the shipping cost but were unable to do so on my most recent order.

Thank you everyone, I guess I will just wait until the tampa show too. I didn't know if they would have anyone selling them there or not.
That will work just fine.

If you do decide to buy at the show - I would recommend trying to get there early on Saturday. They usually only have one rodent vendor and they do sometimes sell out of the "popular" mice (pinkys for example). He will hold them for you to pick up at the end of the show so you don't have to worry about carrying them around and having them thaw out.

And, of course - don't forget to bring a cooler with a few ice packs! You can leave it in your car, and just stick the mice in when you finish the show.

You are all awesome, I probably would have forgotten the cooler, the newspaper, everything.

I will be there early on Saturday, I have another special little package I will be looking forward to picking up.

Thanks for the tips.
Rolf

Well, it'd be cool to meet up with you- a whole bunch of us Florida people are going Saturday! There's a thread in General Chit Chat that will have the final details. And then we go out to lunch at the Winghouse right across the road after.

You will be happy to know...

that your little butter motley just fed again today, and is looking great! I think you are going to like him. I will feed him again Mon, and then he should be ready for his new home!

Very good news Kathy, I cant wait to see him. I just love the way they look.

I now have my wife hooked on the snakes too. She went from not really liking them to they're OK, to pretty much holding one or two every night.

We were talking a little bit today, and she said she might be into going out for lunch at the show, of course our two children would have to come too.

I owe it all to my daughter who rekindled my fire for snakes. Its kinda cool being involved with them again. As my whole childhood was spent chasing snakes down by the local creek.:-offtopic

talk to you soon,
Rolf

It can easily become a family hobby! And if you get into breeding various morphs, it can be a great lesson in biology and genetics for growing kids! Should be fun and educational for everyone!
