Can a corn live happily in the same house as a drummer?

I'm considering getting a young corn snake, but I have one concern. My son plays drums and the room where the snake would be housed is across the hall from the room with the drums. He plays about an hour everyday. Do you think this would cause a snake to stress? I don't want to bring a snake in that may be miserable and end up grumpy or nippy. Any thoughts?

I would think it would be okay. I have three snakes on a shelf with the subwoofer for my TV, and they don't complain. Various snakes have rotated through those vivs for many years.

Half of my reptile room is my music room.
Works great in the winter when both my guitars and reptiles need to be humidified :)
The only guy that complains when I play is a big White's Tree frog who croaks very loudly during my "jam" sessions LOL

Um, Nanci? I hate to tell you this, but your kiddos have been emailing me complaining about the programming you subject them to. They said they want Animal Planet 24/7!

I agree with everyone, when something falls and makes a really loud bang in the snake room, no one seems freaked by the noise at all. That, of all things, surprised me the most about corns. They are really docile creatures for the most part, you get the crazies once in a while, but mostly they are a pleasure to deal with and I never have any fear wrapping them around my neck while doing cleaning duties to their vivs. (and for the record, they LOVE the smell of Biolage Shampoo and Conditioner. On MY head, not theirs! I am afraid come spring someone will hunker down in my freshly washed hair and lay eggs!!!)

I play drums in the basement and my Reptile room is also in the basement. I don't have any snakes that seem stressed or nippy

Yep nope. I agree with everyone else here :p

I can understand the concern, being that drums can be... bassy (I think?). But nah. It's only an hour or so a day.
I wouldn't even worry if they had "external" ears, as with lizards. My BTS is very intrigued by the vacuum, for example, but it doesn't seem to stress her. Mind you, every animal is different.
But I think you have nothing to worry about. Yay to snakes!

What's funny is that I hadn't even thought much about he noise. My concern was with the vibration. Living naturally in and on the ground I figure they pick up every little vibration, but drums amplify that to the nth degree. Good to know that it shouldn't be a problem though.

Haha! I had a bit of a brain fart when I wrote that. I think I was going for vibration when I said "bassy". ;)
I'm glad you understood though!
