Can anyone explain pieds to me?

I have seen several people selling "bloodred pieds" and would like to know the genetics behind them. What do you breed to get them? Any help would be appreciated.

Pied, is a recessive trait that occurs in the diffused or "bloodred" gene. It is a new morph and selss for a high price depending on the expression of the white.

Also, it's actually "pied-sided", as so far we've only seen the pied expression occurring on the sides. Unless I'm mistaken, I don't think we've actually seen a true pied yet in cornsnakes.
