sold as an anerythristic?... is that right?

Looks a little like it may have emoryi influence and it also looks a bit bug-eyed.

Looks like a classic, maybe an okeetee because of the really dark borders.
Something about it doesn't scream Corn Snake to me, I don't know why.

Bug eyed means that it has bulging eyes. Yes, the most common name for that type is normal, but I have herd common, classic, wild type, and more. I would say MABE a posible het for okeetee though I think it would take breeding trial to be sure. mabe a hint of emroi, but I really couldn't say.

Not an Anerythristic.

The coloration is that of a normal/classic. Perhaps an Okeetee (or Okeetee phase).
Okeetee, or Okeetee phase, is a name given to a Normal/Classic cornsnake of a certain local &/or coloration (thick borders being a primary trait).

Looks like it may end up being a really nice Okeetee...nice thick black borders and lots of red color elsewhere. I see no Emoryi influence anywhere. As for the "bug eyes", it looks more that way as this particular snake has a shorter "nose", very much like the Sunkissed have. Give it some time and it should grow more into those adorable eyes. And if it was mine, I would test breed it to a Sunkissed sometime in the future, just for giggles.

If it was sold as an anery, were you ripped off? How much were they selling normals for? Less than Anery's?

Either way, gotta love them thick borders!

Lovely, do indeed a bit 'weird' but that must be the short nose. Allthough the eyes are quite light colored too.

thanks for the help everyone

so its a normal, with a hint of Okeetee

... what are these "borders" you all speak of?

sorry im still learning

O.K. The boarders are the black bands surounding the brown saddles. Compare your Okeetee to my classic. Note on mine it has very thin black "boarders" compared to the charatistic thick black boardes on a Okeetee.

I've got an Abbott's Okeetee which I intentionally picked out and bought and I think your snake looks very similar to mine:

So yeah, I think you've got a very nice snake there. :)

Here is a pic of baby okeetees with the mom, just to show you how much the babies change in color by the time they become adults. Okeetees are just stunning corn snake morphs IMO. :D
