I was looking at my baby corn one morning about a week ago and my corn yawned well atleast what i think was a yawn at first I thought he was gonna regurgitate but there was no bump, can corns yawn?it wasent just an open and close thing it looked like a actual yawn.

Yes, they can! Sometimes to realign their jaws after eating, and sometimes for an unknown reason. Maybe just like other animals yawn.

But- do lizards yawn? I have never seen one do it. Or any other herp for that matter. So I would think the snake yawn is more a function of adjusting something in the mouth than sleep-related.

One of my co-workers had to bring her animals up to the store because of electricity issues during the storm. Her rosy boa yawned one day when I was eating my lunch. It is the coolest thing in the world to see.

I'd love to get a pic of one of mine yawning. But they don't exactly tell you when they're gonna do it!;) You just kinda gotta be ready with the camera when they happen to be in the mood to do so. So far my gang ain't quite THAT close to tell me!

Frillie yawns all the time. It's pretty much the only time we see him with his frill open any more. So I am gonna say yes, lizards yawn.

As far as snakes go, oh yeah! It's so neat when you catch them. The snake mouth is almost alien looking.

Ive only caugut my snake yawn a few times. I freaked out the first time I saw him do it. Its a pretty neat thing to watch, my snake usualy yawns right after he finishes eating.

Never been able to catch a corn-yawn, but I got my beardie once :D
Didn't get her at the widest unfortunately, but I'm still glad I got this pic

Had a tokay gecko when I was younger... that's pretty much all it ever did!

(OK, it was more of an evil, "just try to put your arm in my cage again" kinda "yawn")

If you're around your corns much you'll see it. Helps of course if you have several.
