ok

well here is a cheap way but you have to keep looking. you will have to check it in the morning in the after noon and at night.

Why don't you just incubate them at room temperature? They usually do fine in the upper 70's to low 80's. Just take a little longer to hatch.

Its too cold over here this time of year. A few weeks ago maybe, but not now. We're lucky to get low 70's, and it's only going to get colder. I suppose if you've got a climate controlled greenhouse or some other room thats always warm then maybe.......

Oh and just noticed something I missed. Elliot, you can get all the stuff you'll need over here. Wilkinsons, focus, b+q, etc etc. Even tescos will probably have them.

I assumed you would be incubating them indoors where the temps stay controlled. My house cools at night but the eggs did fine. You can put them in a styrofoam insulated box on top of a refrigerator or t.v. and they will do fine.

Sorry, I was presuming everyone was like me. I use the heating as little as possible, if I'm cold I put another layer on.

I'm on the South Coast in the UK and the ambient temp in my lounge right now (6:30pm) is 76.5 degrees - too low for Corn eggs, but I'm in a T-shirt thinking it's quite warm! It will probably drop a few more degrees overnight. My TV has been on for 2 hours and is currently kicking out over 90 degrees, so probably too hot and would go from one extreme to another once switched off? The top of the fridge is 82 degrees though, and I assume this would be pretty much constant, so might be worth a try (if your Mum doesn't mind snakey things in her kitchen!).

Alternatively, you can buy a UTH and thermostat from online UK shops like livefoods.co.uk or cornishcripsa.co.uk.

The 82 would actually be perfect. I prefer 80 or so, but 82 is not too high. Your fridge should remain fairly constant there. I'm like you, I keep my house cool, and that goes for during the day. It stays from 78-81 during the day and it can go as low as 60 before the heat will kick on in the winter. Stephen's eggs did fine just in a styrofoam cooler on top of my entertainment center though.

Just make sure the eggs don't go over 90 degrees and you're in with a chance. My TV would be too hot, so make sure you take the temperature on top of yours a few times before you go for it, just to be safe.
