I am going to do an experiment this year and try to stimulate my females to ovulate. Everyone knows that brumation and then warming up stimulates ovulation. Many have credited lighting to this as well.
All this is done to "trick" a corn's body into thinking it's spring, and spring is time to mate. Well I was thinking that heavy feeding also comes with spring. When corns come out of brumation they have a ferocious appetite. That got me thinking. Could a spring time like feeding schedule "trick" a corns body into thinking it's spring and time to mate?
I was going to do a late brumation, but I will do this experiment instead. I started a heavy feeding schedule 2 weeks ago. I'll keep you posted.
