hi,i have a female corn whos weight is around 350g & a male weighing 250g, can i still breed them this time of the year? is it too late to breed them at this time of the year?

I've had eggs laid in November, so late breeding is perfectly possible. As long as you can source food for hatchlings outside of the normal breeding season, there's no reason why you shouldn't give it a try.

As Cornflake saiys, they'll either get to it or they won't and you won't know until you try!

Im not sure if they could, but I don't see why not? Try to simulate a normal spring light/heat cycle is all I could say...

corns can be bread anytime as long as they are old/heavy enough and in good condition they decide as long as previously cooled u will have a good chance i guess.

as long as previously cooled
I've never found cooling to be necessary for breeding myself, although it could be a way of triggering "out of season" mating.

Bit difficult to cool them in the summer though, especially in the Philippines.

I had no idea this was possible! I've seen threads about winter eggs and pippies, but they've generally been from folks in the southern hemisphere. I don't have anything to breed right this minute, but it's info to squirrel away in my brain for future reference. Thanks!

Must admit that I can't claim to know how it was done - she was a rescue who arrived gravid (unknown to me) in the October.

The person who originally took her in had to cohab her for a couple of months before I had her (she was an emergency rehomer from someone who was evicted at short notice), so I suspect she was put in with a male during that time. I doubt there were any preparatory measures taken to instigate mating. However, she wasn't an abuse case so was in perfect health - that probably helped.
