when I feed my snake when does it do the toilet and what does it look like hope with same pic of it

s H I T

it really looks like s H i t.
when you give fur-less preys like pinkies the s H i T will be thin, when you give adult mice with a lot of hair the S H i T is all curled and the structure is more solid.
i hope i helped you wit your sH it problem:)

after

feeding it might go two days after the meal, four, five or whatever. Each snake is slightly different of course. :)

1) looks like bird crap....

2) and a couple of days later... heat can change the regularity of a snake...

does with mine anyway...

Just to make sure she doesn't poo in her enclosure, I bath her for the next 3 days after she eats. It also gives her plenty of exercise!

While we are on this subject....

I was wondering....

When corns get older do they poo more? I'm not talking in quanity, I mean the amount per week. My baby corns are the POO Masters, it seems like all they do is CRAP!!! They are up to 2Xfuzzies per week. Just curious

Well I can't speak from experience, except since about august, but I can't imagine that they would poo more often... heh! I would imagine that they would poo in larger quantities! small mouse = small poo, Big mouse = Big poo. Yup, the math works out. LOL

Anywho, I sure hope someone else can answer your question!

I've never had an adult corn, but I remember reading somewhere that they generally poo once per feeding. i.e. if you feed them once a week, they'll poo a few days after.

When they get older, and eat 'proper' mice the size, colour, consistency, texture and smell will change - but IIRC it should all come out in one go.

When they are fully mature they do not have to be fed as often which should mean less poos.

If it's a problem for you, you should do what a lot of people (inc me) seem to do. On day 2 and 3 after feeding give them a bath in water (slightly cool, but not cold to touch). This will give them exercise and seems to somehow relax them and make them poo!

I put Suzy in a red plastic storage box, he swims, climbs out ... then either poos over the edge into the water, or climbs back in, relaxes and poos. After he's done this (and the bulge near his vent has gone) he's OK to handle until the next feed.

This way means no poos on my lap - excellent :D

Hey Whiffin,

I agree with everything you said except that I have to assume the number of poos after a meal is dependant on the individual snake. Katie and Kassie poo at least 2 times after a meal, one smaller one and a larger one generally. Maybe they're abnormal, but it does show that they can poo more than once.

I'm not trying to argue with you, but I think it is based solely on individuals.

Have you seen the screen saver? Whiffin is in it and looks so cute! That's a great pic!

It could just be Suzy's poos that are funny

If only the girls thought that, then I wouldn't be single :D

Not only does Suzy poo only once a week, it's seems to always be in his bath that I give him every Tuesday (2 days after feeding) - very hygenic :D

Well Whiffin, you're a lucky man! Kassie poos about 3 times per feeding. That's about 2 times in the cage and once in the bath. It always seems she poos while I'm at work!

And CornCrazy, I know all about the big mound, Kassie is just a hatchling, about 3 months old and she let out the huges mound last week! I couldn't believe something so big could come out of something so little!
