The guy I bought my corn snake from said you could tell female from male by hips but ive heard different and im clueles please help.
 
You obviously were given some misinformation - might we suggest Kathy Love's Comprehensive Guide to Corn Snakes if you do not already have it - it may answer ALOT of your questions regarding corn snakes and their care - GREAT BOOK - we got it when we first started.
