• Hello!

Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.

Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....

Please be certain that the location field is correctly filled out when you register. All registrations that appear to be bogus will be rejected. Which means that if your location field does NOT match the actual location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected.

Sorry about the strictness of this requirement, but it is necessary to block spammers and scammers at the door as much as possible.

I had to cancel my email address because I was receiving suspicious "replies" about international enquiries that were made with my email address as the contact address. I would like to update my information in my account, but I don't know my password and I can't update my info without it. I recently made a different account on the serpenco site for the same reason, and I will probably need to make a new account on faunaclassifieds because my old email address is currently defunct.

If there is any way that I can update my email on this site I would be interested in doing that, as I do like to see when replies are made in threads that I have posted in.

You have to use your password to log into the site . . . which you had to be logged into to post under your name. :)

If your browser logs you in automatically, then you can access your password for the site via your options/preferences menus in your web browser.

I am automatically signed on whenever I come to the site. I am not having much luck trying to access that menu on Vista, I will try to mess around some more.

Thanks for the reply.

If you log out of the forum, then click on "Log In" WITHOUT entering your User Name and Password, a message will appear that gives you a place to click for those that have forgotten their password. It will e-mail it to you at your "old" e-mail address, if it still works.

I'm not sure you even need your password to edit your e-mail address. Have you tried without it?

I got the impression that I should close my account when I found out there was a potential issue, so I did immediately (3 or so days ago). Unfortunately, when I try to change my account info it does require my password and it offers to send my password to the email account associated with this account.

Thanks for the reply. I have been messing around more with my Vista User Control but I haven't had any luck yet.

The password for this website would not be in your Vista User Control. It would be in your preferences/options for your Web Browser. That would be the program you open to get onto internet websites . . . like this one. :) Are you using Firefox or Internet Explorer or some other program to view web pages?

I use IE as my browser, I have not been able to find the option/preferences menu that would have the password info saved. I would really like to try to figure out if I do have online passwords saved if you know how I could access it.

Thanks again for the replies, hopefully I can figure this out.

This thread should serve as a reminder to write your User names and passwords down someplace for safe keeping. Of course, at 32, your memory shouldn't be that bad. You became a member only a month ago and have forgotten your password already! :sidestep:

I just looked at what I have access to as a moderator. I MAY be able to change the e-mail address messages are sent to. If you send me the new e-mail address (anyway you prefer...PM, e-mail, whatever), I'll see if I can change it.

Heh yeah, this is a good lesson. The problem is that I have used that email address for probably 10 years at least, and I was used to being able to have reminders sent to it. I try very hard not to use the same password more than once or twice, so the problem is that I can probably figure out which word I used, just not the number and punctuation I used !!11!!1 (that is just an example hehe).

I sent you my email address, thank you for again for the replies.

I tried, but I don't think worked. You'll know soon enough if you receive an e-mail from me through CS.com. Maybe Rich can help you.

No luck as of yet. I can live with it for now, I just may have to re-register if I log out hehe.

I may contact Rich, but I am sure he has enough on his plate at the moment.

Thanks for trying.
