Hello i was just curious because i love candy cane corn snakes (sorry i do not know the actual scientific name if there is one.) But what snakes do you need to breed this kind of snake? Pictures would be very nice and helpful thank-you.

Now i know this is a kind of "Newbie" question but i never understood the difference between the things like amel, motley, etc. but i do know blizzard, snow, albino, charcoal

Read up the genetics tutorials at the top of the cultivars forum.

Basically, genes like motley, stripe, bloodred, etc are pattern modifiers.

Genes like amel, anery, charcoal effect color.

Amel=albino. Red snake with red/pink eyes. A snow is an amelanistic anerythristic. That's an all white snake with red/pink eyes.

A candycane is nothing but an amelanistic selectively bred to reduce out the color between the saddles.
