I use the fake rock water dishes but i absolutely hate them! they SUCK! they are porous and still smell even after soaking in bleach. My snakes always poop in them so i need something easier to clean. Where can i buy ceramic waterdishes? Something like glass that has no pores or something...

If you go to a local ceramic shop, they have all sorts of cool pieces that you could paint yourself and get finished at the shop. I looked at a shop here, and there were all sorts of cool things that I could use as combination hides/water dishes. Its worth checking out.

And, if you don't wanna go the creative route, places like Wal-Mart sell shallow ceramic bowls that are perfect.

Yeah, they've got these shallow-ish-but-not-too-shallow ceramic dishes. They're heavy, since they're ceramic, pretty big around so that the snake can soak, and pop right in the dishwasher. If I had to describe them to someone not looking to use them in a viv, I wouldn't know what to say. Aside from their convenient use as a snake dish, they seem useless. They aren't quite a plate, not quite a bowl....Well, good luck finding them!

Big crystal or glass ashtrays work fine as water dishes, heavy, flat and shallow.

Buy the ceramic dog bowls. They're glazed and so can be easily cleaned, you can get them in a range of sizes and they're flat-bottomed so they don't tip. Cheapest option I've found if you need a heavier dish.

I bought some small ceramic ones at Target for .99 cents. They're great since I change my water daily, and they aren't too big for the rubbermaid housing I got for the two new kids coming.

Look for a dollor or a 99 cent store. I got some good ones~ small soup bowls with deep bottoms. Work great.
