I would like to know what the specific genetics of the parents are and what other types of offspring were produced from them. Without this information, I would be hesitant to claim what it was (panda pied) other than what looks like which to me looks more like a type of paradox leucistic. And one has to question why someone would sell such a rare animal if it's genetics were proven as a heritable trait other than just some one-off mutation. $18,000 might sound like a lot of money upfront for a single animal, but if this animal carried heritable genetics that could reproduce more, then $18,000 would be a small amount of money in lieu of the money one could garner over a clutch of these. So why sell it?
