Chlorhexidine Solution Question

I ordered the 2% Chlorhexidine Solution (not the brand name) and was wondering, if I have to dilute it before I can use it (clean the viv). On the back it says I have to dilute it, 1 ounce per gallon of water. This was for cleaning cuts on animals. Would the full strength be o.k. for just cleaning the viv?
Thanks!

I believe it's not safe full strength...too strong. I myself do 2 oz. per gallon of water, or 1/2 oz per 32 oz of water in a spray bottle.

I personally use a 1/10 bleach and water solution to clean out glass vivs. On tubs and bins I just use dish soap and hot water. As much as people like to say that plastic is non-porous, I don't want to take the chance of not washing the bins and tubs well enough after cleaning, and leaving just enough bleach behind to cause problems.
