Cleaning Day Pics of the Crew

Cleaned cages today and got a few pics of the kids outside.

First is my butter, my girl, Sophie:

Next is my amel tessera, Sunny:

Next is Gatsby, my hypo pastel RTB:

And finally, Dexter, my Dumerils:

Thanks for looking.

mmmm dumerils! Wouldn't mind a really nice, salmon-hued specimen as a pet. Either that or a similarly nicely salmon-hued pure Surinam red-tail. That hypo rtb is nice too. In 2001 I stayed at Bob Applegate's house for the Oct IRBA Expo. Sunday evening Rich Ihle stayed the night, with his coolers of salmon boas. I'm not much of a large snake person, but those salmons were gorgeous. Can't beat them or nice, classic examples of pure surinams, Peruvians, bolivians, or argentine boas.

Very nice snake family!

How is the temperament on the average RTB? I have held an adult this summer and it was an amazing experience, but later I was thinking that if it had been cranky at the time, a bite would have been pretty bad. (I'm currently not a "big snake" owner, can you tell?)

I love the color of Sunny, the amel tessera

Thank you. She was actually last year's prize in the CS.com football pick 'em league. Wonderful snake. Good eater. Just now starting to be less shy and come out more.

Very nice snake family!

Thank you

If Gatsby had been my first snake, I'd probably only own RTBs. He is so chill it's unbelievable. He makes no effort whatsoever to avoid getting picked up. He'll even just sit there and let me pet his head. The pictures do him no justice; the amount of pink in his sides and cheeks is crazy. Amazing animal.

Lovely looking family

Thank you.

Dexter is simultaneously my pride and joy and my pain in the **s. Again, the pictures do him no justice. The color gradient from his belly to his spine is spectacular, and the amount of peach coloring in his darker spine area is so rich and beautiful. He's very mellow and sweet once he out, but he tries to avoid getting picked up most of the time. Dexter's been a problem feeder since day one. And just when I think I have him figured out, he goes on a feeding strike for a month or so.

Great looking snakes, love the RTB ^^

Thanks. Gatsby is a wonderful snake and so mellow. He has quintupled in weight since March!

Great looking crew!

Thank you.
