When you clean with diluted bleach & water, how much time before they are ready? I am new, but 2 viv's set up & snakes on order.

I only use vinegar and water never bleach it needs to totally air dry before anything can be put back in. It can take 20 minutes to 3 hours depends on your area, temps and humidity in your home. With vinegar and water you wipe down, rinse, dry and whala good to go.

Depending on how dirty it is, if I have a new tank i got of craigslist I bleach it to make sure all germs are gone, then I put it in front of a fan or heater. Vinegar and water seems like a good solution, never tried it. Just make sure whatever you use it;s dry and doesn't smell strongly snakes have sensitive noses

Same here. I think bleach is too dangerous with the fumes and toxicity. Vinegar is an antibacterial and won't cause fumes.

If I am being extra sanitary, in case of illness or death for example, I wipe out the vivs with rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide.
