On monday, I got a text from my dad saying if I wanted a dog, before I could answer he texted again and said "come outside". and I did, there was this dirty little dog, skinny as a stick, dirty as a junkyard, and he was sleeping on my dad's jacket. I started to pet him, and I felt his ribs. I felt really bad for him, and his eyes just mesmerized me. We went to go get food for the little guy and some _very needed_ shampoo. When we gave him food for the first time, he didn't even chew, he just swallowed. Who knows how long he was in the streets. After we let him rest for a while, we took him into the bathtub and gave him a shower, We used 3 types of shampoos/conditioners, and after he wasnt very clean, so we did it again, and it got better. It was so sad because when we were giving him a shower, he was falling asleep on my hands, im guessing it was the warm water. Days passed and he would follow us EVERYWHERE we went. and would never leave our sight, every morning he gets really excited to see me, and its just the cutest thing ever. He's super loyal, very obedient. Sadly we have to find him a new home :( We're not financially ready to have a dog, and if he gets sick, all the vet bills and if he dies, we don't want to mourn, especially after my grandfathers death not to long ago. Hopefully we can find him a good home. And the good news is, that he's getting more active, eating better, and drinking plenty water. Just the perfect dog, I'm telling you!
And if you guys could help me figure out what kind of dog he is?? Thanks!!

Thanks! I posted the little guy on facebook, and this a friend of mine is offering to take it off my hands. I know she'll be a good owner.

He's adorable and I wish I lived near you, I'd scoop him up. I miss having a dog so much. Good job rescuing the little guy and good luck finding him a home.

Thank you for rescuing him. He's obviously a Benjie.

I once saw a "Benji' at a local shelter, and even though small dogs do not appeal to me in the slightest, this one pulled on my heart strings so much I almost didn't leave without him! If next year hadn't been freshman year in college for me (leaving home/dorms) I most likely would have had a new furry companion that day! <333 Benji!

He is missing his eyes!!!! :O

We cut his hair yesterday. He didnt let us go near his head with the scissors, so we only cut a little bit. :)
