Color Issues?

I have been looking at the pics that people have posted of the eggs. I am curious about something. The first clutch of eggs that my girl Leucy Texas Rat Snake dropped were stark white. Even the ones that ended up failing were bright white to begin with. Now, her second clutch is on the ground and I assumed that the yellowish coloring they have would fade as they dried a bit and the shells established themselves. Now the eggs are settled, and they are still yellow. I have a few obvious slugs, but even the ones that seem to be good are yellow shelled. IS there any reason behind this, or is it simply the way things happen? I am just curious if they will be the same when the eggs hatch. By the way, I am now on day #53 for clutch #1 and there is not any sign of pipping yet. I am so frustrated!!

Yeah that happens

Did you candle the eggs.........
I have had terrible looking eggs hatch, and great looking eggs die last minute, snake formed dead in egg, probably Heart failure.

I checked them out, but I think it is too soon. Some were yellow looking but the eggs are perfect. Some were red and had very few veins. I am going to check them after about 10 days or so. This should give them enough time to establish a good network of veins.
