I was in petco yesterday and saw one of these snakes. It really caught my eye. Did some research found out they get up to 10 ft long. Does anyone have one of these snakes. Im curious How big of housing you would need for a adult. Also what do you feed them when they are adult's. I seen small rabbits is that true if so where would you find small rabbits. Is there a substitute you could feed them instead of small rabbits.

You can buy frozen feeders of many sizes... guinea pigs, giant sized rats, rabbits of all sizes. Check any online "rodent" mail order store and you should find them.

As far as size goes, I would think a 10' snake would need at least a 6' cage, and 8' would likely be preferable. I know that Animal Plastics makes 6' and 8' cages. I think if we ever get a BCI I'd rather have it in a custom cage with some height on it though, so it could stretch out and move around.

thanks for the help but i think that kind of snake might be a little to big for my home. I think i might be leaning towards a brazlin rainbow.
