I left on a military exercise for about 10 days and got my wife to feed my corn. She got scared of him because he started snapping when he smelled the mouse so she decided to feed him in his enclosure. She watched him eat about half then left and she says there was not substrate attached to the mouse when she left. He has developed two lumps on his body on the his upper half near his spine. Iv taken him to a vet twice and the vet thinks its just swelling from an injury. Could it be compaction or should i just trust the vet? any opinions?

I don't think it is impaction,..i have always fed my snakes in their tubs with substrate and never had it occur.. I have about 80 snakes and been keeping them many years. It could be from an injury, but it could also be fat deposits.. any way of posting a few pics?
Hopefully your wife doesn't feel guilty about your snakes current situation, like I said, I highly doubt feeding in the enclosure is the source of these lumps. I would go with the vets opinion.

no I made sure she new no matter what it wasn't her fault. If anything its my fault for getting her to feed him when he could have waited until i was home. The mouse was frozen thawed. Its hard to get pictures but ill try when hes done shedding. I'm going to let him shed and not handle him for about 2 weeks and hopefully it will have time to heal.
