Wilma actually did a strike and constricted her mouse, never had a chance to put it right in. As she has never done this before (I have had her 7 month) I got a surprise. Sure glad I use tong's to feed them. It was brilliant, how quick she did it. Normally she play's around with them,pushing and sniffing first.

I tried to get my snake to do that so I could get a picture and gross my mother out (she hates mice) but Snoopy wouldn't co-operate. She's not used to being fed that way and was only scared of the mouse when I tried dangling it in front of her. Maybe someday... lol. Ah well, at least she's eating!
You should try to get a pic of Wilma doing that. It would be really cool.

Thank's Katie, it was great so I took a pic with my old camera (not digi) but the pic's have not been coming out very good lately. I hope this does though. She must of been well ready for it, maybe I was shaking a bit more than usual (not frightened of her just have the shake's naturally and not alchohol induced)LOL
My fairly young snow corn now does the same. it is like lightening in speed and I, too, use forceps to feed. Corn wil be in it's hide and I dangle the food in front and the strke is immediate. Glad I am not holding it. It wraps around at the speed of light almost.Rgulat corn takes a look see first.
