I've been trying to figure out ways to get better pictures of my snakes. My Kisatchie in particular is hard to photograph because he is a freak. But what i did on this one was put the tupperware with his mice in it in the tank, then just waited with the camera, steadying it on the edge of the tank, till he smelled the mice and came out! Definitely my best photo of him yet.

Even in blue, he's a fine looking Kisatchie. Nice photo. :)

I have a regular ol' point-and-shoot digital camera. I find that indoor shots are pretty easy. If I use the macro setting, auto flash, auto focus, and my lighting is decent, I don't usually get any blur. I always focus on the head first, and then move the camera laterally (without changing depth) to compose the shots.
