Well my last name is Hiscock and my Mom seriously wanted to name me Holden Hiscock and now I am thankful everyday that didn't happen. My Dad's family is straight from England so I became cursed with that last name.

Actually this is about me trying to come up with a name.

For a child, that (hopefully) won't be a pornstar.
 
I went to school with a Chris Peacock.... Lucky they didn't call him Drew.......
My vet is called Adina Valentine.... Now thats a cool name IMO.
 
One of the case workers for the Department of Health in our area is named Bobby Justice. I giggle ever so slightly when I think about it. That's definitely one of the best names I've ever heard.

Also, I begged and pleaded for my husband to change his last name to Roth before we got married. This is in reference to a video game (Final Fantasy VII). I was driving in Washington one day and saw a billboard for a lawyer with the last name Roth and the idea struck me: What if I named a daughter after my grandmother-in-law, and our last name was Roth? Guess what: Josefa Roth! I know it's super geeky and lame but it would be so darn cool :D.

Also, ever since the game came out a LOOONG time ago, we always sang the Sephiroth song with each other's name in there, so it would TOTALLY work. We would sing "Brian-Roth!" or "Jeannie-Roth!" for the chorus and then giggle.

Sorry if that seemed like a lot of rambling to those who don't get the reference.

My kids, if I have a boy, or a girl, will be named

Boy - Nehemiah (Enter Middle name here)
Girl - Nehe Miah (Enter whatever my last name at the time is.) and we'll call her miah. :)

I have friends that had a girl and named her Mercedes - they call her Sadie for short.

A few years later they had a little boy and named him Brandon Michael. Their last name is Wager.

They did it on purpose so they could say they had a Mercedes and a BMW.

I think it's easier to think of unfortunate names. I used to work with a woman, up north, named Sharon Comesflying. And there was a frequent patient up there named Flowers Cart.

I just have this feeling that you are going to love my answer to your question. I have two little girls the oldest is 7 and her name is Aeris. My 'baby' is going to be 5 this months and her name is Celes. My husband picked out both of their names, but I have alway liked them.
