well i have a normal corn that sometimes just eats his prey and sometimes he strangles them first is it normal or what should she be doing. mainly just eats them when they are smale and when they alittle bigger she strangles them.
 
Thats a classic example of this situation. Constriction uses up energy, and sometimes some corns will choose not to on prey that it knows isnt going to harm it or run away. As it gets to larger prey it will know it will need to constrict.
