Corn Genetics are so Neat!

So, I'm sure everyone has this moment, and you guys have seen a million posts like this ... BUT!

I just spent a lot of the day reading about corn snake genetics, and had the lightbulb realization that all - well most - corn snake morphs are recessive. Which blew my mind - don't ask why, I'm just strange. I just think that it's so interesting, and any given corn probably has a ton of hets if you could just breed them to the right morph to find them and ... yeah.

Now I want to breed my Granite to something! Which, I'll need some patience for, since the lil worm is a month old xD That or just get a female with some interesting known hets, and .. I don't know. Something! I think I want a butter or something similar next. Or just get a morph that I like, but she's het anery so I can breed her to Howl in the future and get an anery baby. We'll see.

Anyways, just wanted to share my revelation with you guys :p

Now I just need to find someone with some female hatchlings available :p

I need a fast forward button so they can grow!! -.-

I'm insane. I know. I'm sorry! :p

You'd enjoy the Cornsnake Morph Guide! Available digitally. I so wish it was still published...

Do you know about corncalc.com too? It's a fun little calculator that can be very useful when you are shopping for snakes with good hets to breed.
