my snake seems healthy.. eats around once a week unless he's entering blue..
maybe it's an impaction.. or maybe it's cancerous.. or perhaps a fatty tumor (benign)

to the touch it is soft and palpable.. no visible reaction from the snake.. he doesn't seem in pain at all from handling.. it has been around for about 3-5 months.. i don't remember for sure..

You should take your snake to the vet, and have him looked over. If the vet thinks it is warranted, a fine needle aspirate could be performed, and a cytology sample sent to the lab to see what type of cells are in those lumps. This can give you an idea if it is benign or malignant.

Looks like a fat lump to me, but it could do with a check just to be sure. Possible that it's an infected wound but I'd have expected it to deteriorate over 3-5 months so I don't think it's that.

Malignant tumours tend to be harder to the touch and don't "squish" - sounds unlikely in you case.

yeah thanks for the opinions.. i have wanted to take him to the vet but i'm under financial strain.. how much are vet appts in the midwest i wonder...

hey, did you figure out what was wrong with your snake? i have an old corn (21) who has developed a hard lump under his belly about half way down. I'm going to take to vet next week but have been searching stories on odd bumps other people are finding to get an idea of what to expect.
